Day In, Day Out

SSATB a cappella jazz.  

Written for Lincoln-Way Central High School’s “Intuition” vocal jazz ensemble. An a cappella swing chart for SSATB in the tradition of April Arabian-Tini’s arrangement of “Singing In The Rain”. This chart spreads the melody around among the vocal parts, with just the right mix of rhythmic and harmonic interest for your high school or college ensemble. Straight ahead swing feel, with a quasi-instrumental section begins the second chorus; you’ll sound like the brass and sax sections of a big band. Works as a quintet or an ensemble piece.
