SSA with piano.
A dynamic setting of the poem by Becky Hemsley for women’s chorus. Strong, declamatory opening that becomes more and more frantic, as the time signature moves from 12/8 to 9/8 to 6/8, creating an effect of being “closed in” and a little out of control, until opening up to a freeing, beautiful choral ending. Active piano part (page turner highly recommended!).
